Aquzar in operation?

The wastewater is plumbed directly into the Aquzar where it goes through a unique combination of lamellae plate settlement, active intense ‘Aerotor’ biological treatment with a UV finish.
 
This treats sewage in an extremely efficient way to below federal and state discharge standards for BOD, COD, SS, Ammonia (NH4), Phosphorus (P) and Nitrogen (N).
 
The only discharge is treated water, with a higher standard than federal and state requirements, that may be run off into the ground or a water course close to the installation. There is an automatic internal sludge storage which is emptied by road tanker approx every 6 months.

A big advantage for workcamp type installations, is the UV finish allows the discharge water to be used for direct non-potable ‘purple pipe' recirculation and reused for toilet flushing.​ This closed loop configuration requires only periodic sludge removal with ZERO discharge into the local environment and large savings on water purchasing.
